Makes You Stronger!”
What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger!
This saying may sound a bit harsh, but it’s the best medicine for your psyche.
Why? The more time you spend slouching in your comfort zone, the lazier you get.
Aimlessness, helplessness and listlessness are closely related. They are the friends and fans of laziness. Life starts to feel boring. You lose orientation and end up in the torpor of laziness. Who hasn’t experienced that? If you can relate to this feeling and have a longing for living life at its fullest, filled with enthusiasm, motivation and creative power, read on. Anyone can be successful in any field, if you learn to overcome laziness.
What is laziness?
Let us explain what we mean by laziness. For some people, it’s genetic. They love simple jobs with standardized procedures that don’t require an enormous mental effort. In this case, laziness is imprinted on a personality level.
This doesn’t mean that it can’t be changed. That would be a lame excuse. Even people with personality inertia can decide to get moving. The first step is to identify this character trait.
The naked truth about laziness
However, for most people, laziness is not a trait but a habit. It’s the tendency to remain in an unpleasant state. Laziness is a bad habit. Getting rid of it will make you stronger. It won't kill you!
Are you in a job you don't like but are afraid to change? Are you more familiar with your habitual suffering than your unknown happiness? Are you stuck in a hole because you know it and it gives you a sense of security?
Getting your body and mind moving to attain the life you really wish for is simply a matter of creating a new habit.
You merely replace your lazy habit with a “mastering of challenges” attitude. We call that a mind shift.
Every time you feel stuck or something is wrong, you simply don’t stop to pity yourself. You just move on.
According to the famous German musician Herbert Groenemeyer, “standstill is death”. He’s absolutely right.
If you ever feel stuck again, tap into your new “keep moving” habit. This will help you focus on finding and implementing solutions. There is always a way. Always.
If you really want to do something, you'll find a way.
If you don’t, you'll find an excuse.
